The USO of Indiana Five Star Gala will take place on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the JW Marriott Indianapolis located at 10 S West Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204. We will be honoring members of the Armed Services and our special honorees former Indiana Adjutant General, R. Martin Umbarger and Mrs. Rowana Umbarger. Doors will open to all attendees at 5:30 p.m. for cocktail hour followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. The internationally known “USO Show Troupe” will be on hand for entertainment.
Since 1941 the USO of Indiana has kept Hoosier military men and women connected to family, home and country throughout their time of service – no matter where, how long, or under what conditions they serve. The United Service Organizations (USO) was founded in preparation for World War II by national leaders with the understanding that maintaining high morale in a fighting force is vital to a nation’s military success. Throughout the years, we have provided a “home away from home” to thousands of service members and their families.
Today, we have five USO centers throughout the state and several outreach programs. Our United Through Reading Program, Oxygen Stronger Families Seminars, unit events and care package distribution are just a few of the many ways that we are able to provide quality support to our nation’s finest. Nearly 100,000 service members and their families use our centers or participate in our programs every year.
All proceeds from this black-tie event will go towards the USO of Indiana. Sponsorship packages will be arranged on a first-come, first serve basis. For additional information or questions, please contact the USO of Indiana Corporate Office at 317-771-2788 or visit the gala link on the USO of Indiana website at www.usoindiana.org.
